How is the home type of teeth whitening method applied?

Whitening plates suitable for the person are prepared by taking measurements from the mouth. A certain amount of whitening gel (10-15% carbamide peroxide) is applied to this prepared plate.

How long does the home type of teeth whitening take?

●     Plaque is a treatment that lasts an average of 10-15 days, to be used at least 4-6 hours a day.

How much gel should I put in plaque?

●     It is important to be careful not to apply the gel too much in the home type of teeth whitening, otherwise, the gel overflowing from the plate will irritate the gums. In such a case, the gums should be washed immediately and a cream containing vitamin E should be applied to the irritated surface and also you must contact a dentist.

What is Clinical type of teeth whitening?

It is a method of teeth whitening applied in a dental clinic. It is a suitable method for patients with time restrictions. Application time is shorter than other methods and has the same effect. Whitening gel applied on the teeth by a dentist is activated with the help of UV light or laser and whitening take an average of 1 hour. Also known as laser teeth whitening method.

What is combined-type whitening?

It is a method of teeth whitening during which both clinical and home types are applied together. The process is supported by home bleaching for 2-3 days after application in a clinic.

What is the difference between biological teeth whitening from other whitening methods?

While it is whitening teeth enamel, it also supplements healthy tissue. It provides this with tooth enamel crystals, which we call “nano-hydroxyapatite” in the gel used in biological whitening. In this way, micro-cracks, pores and deteriorations on the teeth surfaces that cannot be seen by the eyes are permanently closed, and there is no sensitivity during and after bleaching.

I have sensitivity in my teeth. Can I still have such whitening operations?

Biological teeth whitening method can be applied to people with sensitive teeth. The substance causing sensitivity in the bleaching process is hydrogen peroxide. The rate of this substance in biological teeth whitening gel is very low and because the gel contains enamel crystals, there is no sensitivity. While there is no sensitivity during and after the procedure, most of the time your current sensitivity may decrease after the procedure.

What are the things I should be aware of after such a procedure?

As in other bleaching methods, especially in the first two weeks after the process in biological bleaching, tea, coffee, wine; acidic liquids such as cola and tobacco products should be avoided. Otherwise, the effect of whitening in the early period may decrease.

What is a single tooth whitening (internal whitening)?
